Though islam allows polygyny, women in many contemporary muslim african societies form barriers against such union, for the sake of living in peace.This research aims at scrutinizing and analyzing women's reactions to polygyny in the selected novel, Stay with me by Ayobami Adebami Adebayo.To do so, Liberal feminism and intersectional feminism theories are used.Qualitative method is employed as wel.By scrutinizing and and analyzing women's reactions to polygyny, we discover that struggle for identity, socital pressure, Psychological distress, anguish of childlessness, familial obligation, emotional burdens, sociocultural expectations in comtemporary Nigeria are major challenges women face in polygynous marriages in the novel.
