RÉSULTATS
La sensibilisation allergénique aux poils dechat a représenté 23,74 % (p=0,001) de nos patients.La moyenne d’âge était de 25,27 ans (3-65 ans) avec une prédominance masculine (57,58 %). Les élèves/Étudiants et les fonctionnaires étaient les plus touchés avec respectivement 51,52 % et 24,24 %. Les antécédents familiaux d’allergie étaient retrouvés chez 29 patients (87,88 %) ; il s’agissait de la rhinite chez 72,73%.Les facteursenvironnementaux les plus fréquents étaient : moquette (100 %), encens (81,82 %), chat(78,79 %), tapis (75,76 %),insecticides(30,30 %),La symptomatologie était perannuel dans (66,67 %).Une mono sensibilisation a été retrouvée chez 12 patientssoit (36,36 %). Les acariens étaient Cosensibilisés chez 18 patients (75,00 %); poils de chien (20,83%) ; Alternaria 1 cas (4,17 %). La pathologie était dominée par la rhinite allergique qui a concerné(54,55 %) (p=0,003)de nos patients, suivi de la Conjonctivite/ limbo-conjonctivite endémique des tropiques (21,21 %), Asthme(15,15 %) (p=0,140) et de l’urticaire (9,09 %). CONCLUSION La sensibilisation allergénique aux chats est plus fréquemment associée à la rhinite allergique. MOTS CLÉS Sensibilisation ; allergie ; chat; Niamey Prick test, allergène. RESUME TITLE: Allergen sensitization to cat hair in the urban community of Niamey INTRODUCTION The domestic cat (Felissilvesttriscatus) is the subspecies of the domestication of wild cat, a carnivorous mammal of the family Felidae. Sensitization to cat dander affects 10 to 15% of adults varying from one country to another and according to the climate. GOAL To study the allergen sensitization profile for cat hair of patients consulting for allergic diseases in medical practice in the urban community of Niamey. METHODOLOGY This is a prospective study conducted over a period of 06 months, involving 33 patients aged 3 to 65 years with a positive Prick test for cat hair. RESULTS Allergen sensitization to cat hair accounted for 23.74% (p = 0.001) of our patients. The average age was 25.27 years (3-65 years) with a male predominance (57.58%). Pupils / students and public servants were the most affected with 51.52% and 24.24% respectively. A family history of allergy was found in 29 patients (87.88%); it was rhinitis in 72.73%. The most common environmental factors were: carpet (100%), incense (81.82%), cat (78.79%), carpet (75.76%), insecticides (30.30%), symptomatology was annual in (66.67%). Mono sensitization was found in 12 patients (36.36%). Mites were sensitized in 18 patients (75.00%); dog hair (20.83%); Alternaria 1 case (4,17%). The pathology was dominated by allergic rhinitis (54.55%) (p = 0.003) of our patients, followed by tropical conjunctivitis / limbo-conjunctivitis in the tropics (21.21%), and asthma (15.15%) (p = 0.140) and urticaria (9.09%).
